Common Questions

Who can enter?

Open to Australian Deaf and hard-of-hearing people aged 18+, with proficiency in Auslan. Hearing people with Auslan skills, international signers, and Makaton signers are not eligible and will be automatically disqualified.

Can hearing people enter?

No — this competition is just for Deaf and hard-of-hearing Auslan users to celebrate your language and community.

Do I need to edit my video?

No, our amazing Project Lead, Ramas McRae, will edit the videos for you. You focus on making sure your video is good quality, in landscape (16:9) format, and the video clear to see.
